Circulation Exercise Bandages

Comes in a pair of 2 bandages

Support during the workout. Cooling after it. Wear Circulation Exercise Bandages dry during training and competition, then wet them after work for sustained post-exercise cooling.

Incrediwear Equine Circulation Exercise Bandages are reusable horse exercise bandages designed for the cannon, fetlock, tendons, and lower leg. The semiconductor-infused fabric supports circulation and lymphatic flow while the horse is working, then provides a sustained cooling effect when thoroughly wet after exercise.

This makes one pair of bandages useful through both sides of the recovery cycle: support during work and cooling immediately afterwards.

Why Riders Use Circulation Exercise Bandages

  • Supports healthy blood circulation and lymphatic drainage during exercise
  • Designed for training, competition and active recovery routines
  • Helps manage normal post-exercise heat, swelling and fill
  • Can be thoroughly wet after work for sustained cooling
  • Supports the cannon, fetlock and lower-leg soft tissues
  • Available in Regular and Pony sizes for a more appropriate fit

Dry Use: Support During Exercise

Apply the Circulation Exercise Bandages dry before training or competition and wear them while the horse is working.

Activated by body heat, the semiconductor-infused fabric supports circulation and natural thermoregulation around the lower leg. This makes the bandages particularly useful for performance horses whose tendons and lower legs are repeatedly loaded during training and competition.

Tested on Horses: Blood-Flow Velocity

In a Doppler ultrasound study conducted by California Equine Orthopedics, Incrediwear Equine Circulation Bandages were applied around the cannon, and blood-flow velocity was measured before application and again after 20 minutes.

All four measured blood-flow velocity parameters increased:
  • 22% peak systolic velocity
  • 26% end-diastolic velocity
  • 25% time-averaged maximum velocity
  • 24% time-averaged mean velocity.

Wet Use: Post-Workout Cooling

Immediately after exercise, thoroughly wet the bandages with water while they are still on the horse, or wet them before applying.

Leave them on in place for approximately 45–60 minutes for sustained cooling of the lower leg.

The wet fabric helps transfer excess heat away from the limb, making the bandages a practical alternative when you want post-workout cooling without preparing or storing conventional ice boots.

University of Córdoba: Wet Bandages vs. Ice study

A University of Córdoba Faculty of Veterinary Science study compared wet Incrediwear germanium-and-carbon bandages with conventional ice protectors in 10 competitive show-jumping horses.

The wet bandages reduced maximum surface temperature by 17.49%. Compared with ice protectors, the Incrediwear-treated limbs showed a greater reduction in maximum temperature at 10 and 15 minutes after removal, and the lower temperature persisted for longer.

How Incrediwear Technology Works

Incrediwear fabric contains germanium and carbon semiconductor elements that activate in response to body heat.

When worn dry, the technology is designed to support blood flow, lymphatic movement, and natural thermoregulation.

When thoroughly wet, moisture enhances heat transfer away from the limb, creating the sustained cooling effect used after exercise.

Unlike traditional therapeutic compression products, Incrediwear's physiological effect does not rely on compression. The Exercise Bandages should still always be wrapped correctly and with appropriate tension, as with any equine exercise bandage.

How to Apply

Wrap the bandage evenly around the lower leg and secure it with the integrated hook-and-loop fastening. For exercise, apply the bandages dry before work and wear them during training or competition.

For post-workout cooling, thoroughly wet the bandages with water after exercise and leave them in place for approximately 45–60 minutes.

When to Use Circulation Exercise Bandages

  • Training and competition - wear dry while working to support circulation and the lower leg during exercise.
  • Post-workout recovery - wet immediately after training or competition for sustained cooling and to help manage normal post-exercise heat and swelling.
  • Tendon and ligament recovery routines - the bandages may be incorporated into a veterinarian-directed rehabilitation programme when controlled exercise or hand-walking is part of recovery.
  • Returning to work - Useful when a horse is gradually returning to exercise and lower-leg support and post-work cooling are part of the programme.

Conditions That May Benefit From Exercise Bandage Use

Circulation Exercise Bandages may be useful as part of the management or recovery routine for horses with:
  • Tendinitis
  • Suspensory ligament injuries or desmitis
  • Bowed tendons
  • Tendon and ligament strains
  • Windpuffs
  • Splints
  • Bucked shins
  • Fetlock or lower-leg swelling and edema
For diagnosed injuries or medical conditions, use Incrediwear Equine products under your veterinarian's guidance.
